The adult students at the Chelsea Center gave their best wishes to Kamal in a brief farewell ceremony. He has been one of the center's most enthusiastic teachers and his students were so happy for all that he has done at the center. He told us he was grateful for the time he had spent here, and that it had been the best part of his life. On this memorable day one of the students expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to learn here, and said that being a part of the center makes her feel fortunate.
A recent volunteer from Australia led a conversation class for our Advanced English students at the Chelsea Center. Most of these students have been attending classes at the Center for 4-5 years. They have a drive for learning and aim to become fluent in communicating in English--such dedication! Thank you, Jenny!
Today we honored Chelsea Detrick on the anniversary of her birthday. The women who attend classes here are so very grateful for what the Center has provided for them.
There's nothing like a picnic to enjoy a bright spring day! After a very lengthy wait, the picnic for the women of the Chelsea Center to Godawari finally took place. So many games, so much laughter! We had a wonderful time together!
Dr. Prashant Gyawali led an awareness session for the women students on the Basics of Menstrual Hygiene. The women were able to ask a lot of questions and gained a wealth of information.
